Bienvenue to the French Section Website
French is spoken across five continents in a wide variety of forms, expressions, and accents. With 300 million speakers, the "language of Molière" is the fifth most spoken language in the world—after Mandarin, English, Spanish, and Arabic. On the internet, French ranks fourth in usage and is the second most widely learned foreign language.
Its reach extends from Europe to the Maghreb and the Middle East, and all the way to sub-Saharan Africa.
