Course fees and payment
Due date The course fee is to be paid during the registration period. Unfortunately, due to capacity reasons, we are unable to send an email to confirm receipt of payment.
Fees Courses fees depend on the course period (number of semester hours per week) and the status of the person. The number of hours of class hours per week for a language course can be found in the course description in heiCO.
In accordance with the fee statutes the following fees apply:
Students at Heidelberg University, Ph.D. candidates and associates of Heidelberg University, HAI members, students at Heidelberg University of Education and students at Mannheim University:- For a course of 4 class hours per week:
- 110,00 Euro (standard rate) or
- 82,50 Euro (reduced rate)
- For a course of 2 class hours per week:
- 55,00 Euro (standard rate) bzw.
- 41,25 Euro (reduced rate)
- For courses with different class hours per week, the amount of the course fees may be found in the course description.
- For any other person (external people, including students from universities other than those mentioned above):
- For a course of 4 class hours per week:
- 240,00 Euro (standard rate) bzw.
- 180,00 Euro (reduced rate)
- For a course of 2 class hours per week:
- 120,00 Euro (standard rate) bzw.
- 90,00 Euro (reduced rate)
- For courses with different semester hours per week, the amount of the course fee may be found in the course description.
Payment The course fees are to be paid by bank transfer only. To ensure that your payment is received correctly, please state the correct reference number that applies to your course booking. (s. Payment Information)

Important notes:
- Proof of payment is only required if the payment details differ from course taker details.
- Proof of eligibility for discounts are to be submitted by email
() by the end of the course at the latest. Should there be any uncertainty of whether you are eligible for a discount, please transfer the reduced course fee and send the proof of eligibility later, or pay the difference by the end of the course at the latest. - The earlier the payment is received, the lower the risk of not getting a place on the course due to limited spots in each course.
- Without prior registration, you will not be able to attend the courses even after full payment of the course fee.
