CAS Sustainable Leadership FAQ

Since when has CAS Sustainable Leadership been available?
The CAS Sustainable Leadership programme was first held in 2025.
Are the sessions offered in person or online/hybrid?
The modules take place on site in Heidelberg. Preparation and follow-up work is carried out on the Moodle learning platform, where the assignments are also available. Live online reflection sessions are offered between modules.
When will I receive a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) from Heidelberg University? What are the requirements for successful completion of the continuing education programme?
After successfully completing the Sustainable Leadership continuing education programme, you will receive a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) from Heidelberg University worth 10 ECTS credits, which details the course content and certifies your achievements.
The requirements for successful completion are:
- Preparation and follow-up of classroom sessions using the materials/assignments provided on Moodle.
- Regular attendance at classroom sessions.
- Completion of a final thesis.
- Presentation of the final thesis on personal learning transfer.
What if I am unable to attend an in-person appointment?
The attendance dates are essential, as this is where the content can be discussed, tried out and practised. Absence is therefore very unfortunate, but sometimes unavoidable. If you have missed more than two attendance days, you can make them up in the next cohort, provided there is still a place available.
Can I participate in the continuing education programme even if I cannot contribute my own case/project for the final thesis?
Yes, you can still participate in this case and will then work on a fictitious question that we will provide you with.
Is it possible to pay the participation fee in instalments?
Yes, it is possible to pay the amount for further training in a maximum of three instalments by arrangement. Please feel free to contact us.
Was your answer not there yet?
We are of course also available to answer your questions in person!
