We are Part of the Project WEITER.mit.BILDUNG@BW Weiter.mit.Bildung@BW

Under the joint umbrella brand WEITER.mit.BILDUNG@BW, a statewide qualification initiative was launched in Baden-Württemberg in 2021. The initiative involved the state ministries of Education, Economic Affairs, and Science.

This cross-departmental initiative aimed to link continuing education opportunities more closely together in order to meet current needs in the economy at the highest possible quality level.

The Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg supported the state’s universities with the project Hochschulweiterbildung@BW, helping them to increase the visibility of their continuing education offers and to develop new qualification programs.

The goal was to bring academic continuing education more proactively to the public through joint marketing and appropriate network structures. With innovative and interactive exchange formats bringing science together with business and society, the matching process between demand and supply was further developed in a results-oriented way.

The implementation of the project Hochschulweiterbildung@BW was carried out by 25 regional and subject-specific coordinators, representing a total of 48 universities in the state. Project management was based at the University of Freiburg, while the coordination of the regional and subject-specific networks was located at Furtwangen University.
