The heiSKILLS Career Service, in collaboration with the Heidelberg Employment Agency, the Heidelberg Foreigners' Registration Office, the Rhein-Neckar Welcome Center and the International Study Center of Heidelberg University (ISZ) offers a three-part internship preparation course for international students preparing for an internship or looking to start a career in Germany. The course focuses on the following three key areas:
- Legal Aspects of Internships and Starting a Career in Germany:
Learn about the legal framework for internships and employment, from residence permits to work authorizations, and gain insights into the application process. - Internship Search and Work Culture:
Get to know your career goals, acquire effective research skills to identify suitable internship opportunities, and gain a better understanding of German work culture. - Application Training: Learn how to create a professional resume and a compelling cover letter, and prepare extensively for job interviews.
The free course modules can be booked individually and are held in German.
