Spiralblock mit Füller

The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Digital Editing is a continuing education programme that responds to the growing demands of editorial practice in the digital age. The aim of the programme is to provide professionals with a background in the humanities with a sound, practice-oriented qualification in the field of digital editing. The CAS teaches editorial basics and technical skills and enables their practical implementation in a modular curriculum.

The CAS in Digital Editing closes a gap left by the discontinuation of the former Master's programme in ‘Editing and Text Criticism’ at the University of Heidelberg. At the same time, the programme contributes to qualification for editing-oriented professions in research, libraries, archives, publishing houses and digital infrastructure institutions.

Modules

The continuing education certificate is aimed at graduates of humanities programmes and academic or technical staff involved in the development, processing or publication of historical texts and sources. The content was developed by the Research Center Heidelberg Editions and Text Analysis  in close coordination with existing research and edition projects.
