As a theoretical and empirical discipline, Speech Science is primarily concerned with the analysis of data obtained from actual speed and hearing, and serves to develop models of competence and performance of human beings in communicative exchanges. Its main objective is to explore models of social action to achieve oral communication as best as possible and to identify effective ways to develop the competencies involved.
