Russian

добро́ пожа́ловать to the Russian Section Website

Russian is spoken worldwide by about 250 million people, including 156.6 million native speakers. It is an official language in Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan and is spoken by parts of the population in 19 additional countries.

Russian serves as a lingua franca across the post-Soviet region and, due to this role as a common language, it is also one of the world’s most important conference languages (e.g., at the United Nations).

Moreover, Russian is the key to accessing Russian culture, with its significant and internationally recognized literature (Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Chekhov, and others).
