“I AM NOT a business graduate” - Why consulting still suits you
What do chemistry, physics, mathematics and IT consulting have in common?
More than you think!
As part of the "Career Perspectives" event series, three Heidelberg University alumni provide exciting insights into their personal career paths and show how they successfully entered IT consulting at cbs with a degree in natural sciences or mathematics.
Dr. Carl-Christoph Winter (Chemistry), Prisca Gestrich (Mathematics & Computer Science) and Benedict Schuster (Mathematics) report on their path into management consulting, their current tasks in the digital transformation and dispel common prejudices that circulate about entry into consulting:
- "I don't have a business background after all."
- "They must only be looking for IT people."
- "Consulting? That's only for people in suits."
You will find out first-hand what IT consulting at cbs really means, what diverse development opportunities there are and why your scientific thinking makes a real difference in consulting.

Fancy new perspectives?
Then come along and find out how you can get started in IT consulting as a scientist or mathematician.
The event is aimed at students and graduates of natural sciences and mathematics. Interested parties from other subjects are also welcome. The speakers will be available to answer individual questions at a get-together after the presentation.
