Study Skills & Teaching Critical Thinking

In light of fundamental changes over the past decades in the areas of communication, society, the economy, and education, it has become increasingly clear that students need specific competencies and skills to navigate rapid change, uncertainty, and complexity. Among these so-called “Future Skills”, critical thinking is considered essential. In an age characterized by the constant availability of information, the ability to critically evaluate and contextualize that information is vital. The interdisciplinary online module “Critical Thinking” aims to raise awareness of the importance and function of critical thinking, identify common errors and obstacles, and provide opportunities to practice critical thinking using illustrative examples.
