The project aims to teach the responsible, critical, and practice-oriented use of AI assistance systems in clinical settings.
Short Description
The project develops four modules on the application of AI in medicine. Participants gain an overview of the range of AI applications in healthcare and engage with ethical, legal, and social dimensions. They then apply this knowledge in practice. Using case-based training, they learn to work with AI-supported assistants for doctor–patient communication and treatment planning within a Human-in-the-Loop framework.

Transfer Potential Beyond the Course / Discipline
The skills developed—decision-making, communication, and ethical reflection—are essential and transferable across disciplines. The modules can be applied directly in surgery, internal medicine, radiology, and interprofessional skills training. Healthcare systems face staff shortages, increasing case complexity, and limited personnel. As a result, teams must collaborate efficiently. This project supports that need by strengthening practical and transferable competencies.
