Project Profile AI Tutor: Implementation And Evaluation of an LLM-Based Tutor

The project aims to further develop, implement, and evaluate an AI tutor based on language models. The tutor supports content-related questions, self-assessment, and evaluation.

The project integrates an open-source AI tutor into a Master’s-level course. The system allows students to ask questions about course content, complete self-tests, and receive evaluations. The AI tutor is aligned with the course materials and will be continuously improved through user feedback. This approach promotes equal access to learning resources, strengthens AI competence, and enables scalable evaluation of learning progress.

Because the system is based on an open-source architecture, instructors can adopt the code and adapt it to their own teaching materials. The publication of evaluation results supports broad adoption across courses and disciplines.
